Mend My Appliance is an independent appliance repair service for homes in the Portland metro area. We repair refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and the rest of the kitchen and the laundry room, at your home.
What we do
Mend My Appliance repairs major home appliances where they stand: in your kitchen, your laundry room or your garage. There is no shop and no drop-off. We come to you with the tools and the common parts.

How we work
Diagnosis first
We test the appliance and find the cause before we name a price. A guess over the phone helps nobody.
The price before the work
The diagnostic visit costs $90 and is applied toward the repair if you go ahead. You hear the full price before any repair begins, and nothing is done without your approval.
Straight answers
If the appliance is not worth repairing, we say so. You decide with the numbers in front of you.
A warranty in writing
Our work and the parts we install carry a 90-day warranty. The terms are printed on your invoice.
Credentials
EPA Section 608 Certified Technician
Section 608 of the Clean Air Act requires anyone who works on equipment that holds refrigerant to hold this credential. It covers the sealed-system work on refrigerators and freezers: recovering refrigerant, repairing the system and charging it again.
