Stove problems we fix
Gas burner will not light
Burner ports clogged by a boil-over, a cracked igniter, or a spark module that no longer fires. If you hear clicking and see a spark but get no flame, the ports are the first thing we check.
Igniter keeps clicking
Moisture in a switch after cleaning, or a burner switch that has shorted. It can also be a spark module that fires without being asked.
Electric burner does not heat
A surface element, the switch behind the knob, or on a coil top the receptacle the element plugs into.
Burner is stuck on high, or will not turn off
The switch that cycles the element has welded shut. Turn the range off at the breaker until it is repaired.
Glass top is cracked
A cracked top is replaced, not repaired. We tell you what the part costs before you decide.
Induction burner does not detect the pan, or shows an error
First the pan: it must be magnetic. Then the element, its sensor or the power board under it.
Weak, yellow or uneven gas flame
Dirty ports, a burner cap that is not seated, or a regulator fault. A range converted between natural gas and propane needs the right orifices.

If you smell gas
Do not light anything and do not use a switch. Leave the home and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. A repair visit is for a stove that is safe to stand next to.
Stove, oven or cooktop?
A stove, or range, has burners on top and an oven below, and we repair both parts in one visit. A wall oven is built into the cabinets and has no burners. A cooktop is the burners alone, set into the counter, and it is booked as its own appliance.
How a stove repair visit works
- Book online: choose the appliance, describe the problem and pick up to three times that suit you.
- We confirm one of your times by phone or text. You are not booked until we do.
- We come to your home, test the stove and find the cause.
- You get the price before any repair begins. We repair it with your approval; if a part has to be ordered, we come back to fit it.
The diagnostic visit costs $90. If you go ahead with the repair, the $90 is applied toward it; if you decide not to repair, the $90 covers the diagnosis.
Our work and the parts we install carry a 90-day warranty. The terms are printed on your invoice.

- Let a burner that was just cleaned dry for a few hours: a wet igniter clicks on its own.
